Postevand Water Pitcher
Postevand Water Pitcher
The Postevand water pitcher is the first in a series of water carriers we will introduce. Created in collaboration with glass designer Marie Breyen, it is the first physical manifestation in a new collection of objects exploring the essence of water. The pitcher carries the imprint of nature: its form is blown into the bark of a Scots pine, leaving the tree’s texture as a hidden structure within the glass. Technically, the pitcher is crafted from two layers of glass—the first shaped as a bottle, followed by an additional layer blown into the bark mold. The neck is drawn and opened with glass shears.
Marie Breyen is a trained glassblower, graduating from The National School of Glass (Riksglasskolan) in Sweden (2016–2019), where she received a classical, technical education. She later earned a degree from The Royal Danish Academy, Bornholm, in Crafts with a focus on glass and ceramics (2019–2023).
Only eight unique pitchers have been created, each distinct in its own way.
